We just received an $18,000 check for Hamptons Art Camp—a rare moment of relief in the ongoing scramble to give local kids a safe, creative space each summer.
This support means more children from working-class and immigrant families will have a place to go—off the backseat of their parents’ cars and into a program built for joy, learning, and belonging.
If you believe every kid deserves a real summer, you can help too. Donate today at the link in our bio.

Living in the woods in the Hamptons is more common than most people realize.
Thanks to a generous donation from @revcolighting we were able to deliver essential supplies — lanterns, flashlights, chargers, and power banks — to help them stay safe and connected.
We’re grateful to Revco for recognizing the need and choosing to act. #HamptonsCommunityOutreach #EastEndReality
Every spring, we meet seniors who can’t afford a yearbook.
For many students, it’s more than just photos — it’s proof they made it. That they belonged. That they were part of something.
We’re raising funds so no one is left out because of money.
Can you help?

Every month this summer, we’ll host mobile shower events for our homeless clients—neighbors who are living in the woods, in their cars, or on the edge of housing insecurity.
These events provide more than hygiene—they offer a rare moment of dignity and relief.
We’re looking for local sponsors to help make this possible. If you or your business are able to partner with us, please reach out. There’s no luxury in basic care—but there is humanity in providing it.

Exciting News To Share!
Hamptons Community Outreach has been awarded a $250,000 matching grant.
This means every donation we receive will be matched — dollar for dollar — up to $250,000 until June 30.
Your gift today will have double the impact in supporting our work. Together, we can reach twice as many families, rebuild twice as many homes, and offer twice as much hope.

Last Friday, we brought mobile showers, hot meals, haircuts, hygiene kits, and clean clothes to homeless men living outside in the Hamptons — all during a cold, relentless rain.
This wasn’t easy work. But it was necessary.
And it was only possible thanks to our partners — especially Joanne Comber Jimenez and Hamptons Pony — whose fundraising made it possible to offer not just basic dignity, but a few moments of comfort and care. And to Anna Salsedo and Stony Brook Medicine who generously donated their time and special skills.
There is so much more to do. But this day mattered.

We meet them where the system doesn’t.

Thank you to our amazing donors for donating Easter baskets to children in need. We truly appreciate your generosity and kindness!🐰🐣
Hamptons Art Camp registration is now open for Summer 2025. For many local families, this represents their children`s only structured summer opportunity while parents work multiple jobs to make ends meet. While the Hamptons is known for luxury, 30% of our population struggles with poverty.
Each $500 sponsorship provides a full week of camp for a child who would otherwise go without. For another $60 you can provide a camper with lunch.
Your support doesn`t just offer creative experiences—it provides crucial educational continuity for students already facing achievement gaps.
Join us in bridging the opportunity divide. Register your child or sponsor a local child today at the link in our bio.
Donate your jewelry and join us at our Spring Earring Extravaganza on April 26th (12-6pm) at Southampton United Methodist Church. Your donations will fund critical home repairs on the Shinnecock Reservation and throughout the Hamptons. DM us for jewelry drop-off details.
While a basket of treats won`t solve the systemic challenges facing our local families in need, these Easter baskets provide a moment of normalcy for children who rarely experience the simple joys many take for granted. Our volunteers are working to assemble 100 baskets for families who struggle daily with housing insecurity, food scarcity, and limited resources.
Two easy ways YOU can help:
🌷 Order a pre-made basket through our Amazon wishlist (link in bio).

Meet Marit - the force of nature behind Hamptons Community Outreach. 💙
While others see statistics, Marit sees faces. Where some see problems, she sees potential. Every day, she’s out there, rain or shine, bridging the gap between struggle and hope.
From delivering fresh food to offering a listening ear, Marit embodies the heart of our mission. She doesn’t just run HCO; she lives it, breathes it, and pours her whole self into lifting our community.
This is what true compassion looks like. This is what changes lives.
We`re deeply grateful to The Collective West @thecollective.west for their thoughtful donation of essential items. Our weekly food deliveries mean Jennifer`s children won`t go to bed hungry tonight. Beyond the luxury estates and summer homes, many families in the Hamptons struggle daily with poverty and limited opportunities. Our Child-Centered Programs create critical access to education, enrichment, and basic necessities that many take for granted. While these programs provide important support, the challenges these children face extend far beyond what any single intervention can solve.
Through consistent, meaningful engagement, we`re working to build foundations for future success despite these persistent obstacles. Join us in this critical work by donating, or spreading awareness today.
Last weekend we celebrated a very special 8th birthday with SLIME! 💚
While most children get to experience the joy of birthday parties, many families in our community struggle with basic necessities, making celebrations like these out of reach.
Thank you to @CMEE for hosting this messy, memorable party and to @lizzyslittlebakeshop for the delicious cake. Your generosity brought genuine happiness to this young girl during challenging times.
The reality for many families we serve remains difficult, but these moments of joy matter deeply.
At 90 years old, she’s moving into her first real house. After decades in a deteriorating trailer with inadequate heating, this weekend she transitions to a safe, warm living space. Housing insecurity remains a harsh reality in the Hamptons, even if it stays hidden. Thank you to our donors who made this life-changing impact possible.
Behind the Hamptons’ pristine beaches, many local children spend their summers waiting in cars while parents work multiple jobs to support their families.

Tutoring helps, but it doesn’t erase educational inequality.
We provide this academic support not because it “”fixes”” inequality, but because every child deserves the chance to learn and grow—even as we continue fighting for the structural changes needed for true educational equity in our community.

This single mom and her daughter had been without hot water for over two months. In the Hamptons, where million-dollar homes sit vacant most of the year, many year-round residents struggle with basic housing needs.
When her water heater failed, she couldn`t afford the $1,400 replacement cost while juggling rent, food, and childcare expenses. For weeks, they heated water on the stove for bathing. HCO stepped in to install a new water heater.
The wealth gap in our community means these basic necessities—taken for granted in most households—can become impossible obstacles for working families.
The Hidden Hamptons: the reality that exists in the shadows of extreme wealth.
These workers maintain the pristine estates and landscapes that define the Hamptons, yet many live in makeshift encampments or overcrowded housing. When winter comes and seasonal jobs disappear, survival becomes their primary concern.
Our weekly deliveries provide temporary relief - groceries for families without transportation, essentials for workers facing winter unemployment, and firewood for men living in the woods often within sight of vacant multi-million dollar estates.
While the Hamptons represents luxury to many, these images show the daily reality for those who make that luxury possible but remain largely invisible.

LOCAL IMPACT: Eight years of unwavering support from Southampton Lion`s Club
When our founder Marit Molin first reached out to the Southampton Lion`s Club in 2018, they immediately stepped up to sponsor camp tuition for children who otherwise couldn`t attend. Since then they have continued to donate for the same cause every year. The Lion`s Club has remained a consistent partner for 8 years now, demonstrating what community support truly means. Thank you so much!
The roof no longer leaks, but the struggle continues.
While we were able to repair this family`s roof before winter set in, they still face the crushing reality of utility bills that are 3x the national average. The father works two jobs, the mother cleans houses on weekends, and they`re still one emergency away from financial disaster.
When basic housing costs consume most of your income, even a working roof can`t shelter you from economic hardship.
This is why we keep showing up. Not because our repairs solve everything—they don`t—but because dignity starts with safety, and transformation begins with solidarity.
This stark contrast exists within miles of each other in the Hamptons. While we provide food, crisis support, and community resources to those living on the margins, the need continues to grow. Many workers maintain luxury properties while living in makeshift shelters, afraid to seek help.
This is why our mission to lift people out of poverty and create opportunities for our marginalized neighbors has never been more critical. Together, we can bridge the gap and build a community where everyone can live with dignity.
Support our work at the link in our bio.
The true cost of food in the Hamptons isn`t just about luxury grocers and farm stands. For many year-round residents, groceries cost nearly $1,800 per month for a family of four - 47% higher than the national average. While our weekly food deliveries help 400 families, they still struggle with these inflated prices for any additional food they need.
Share this post to spread awareness about food insecurity in our community.
Thank you to @nytimes for continuing to shine a light on the reality of life for many in our community. While the Hamptons is known for its luxury and wealth, thousands of workers who maintain these beautiful homes are living in crisis - in woods, in fear, and in poverty. These aren`t just statistics - these are our neighbors.
Our weekly food deliveries help feed 400 families, but we’re running low on bags. If you have Fresh Direct bags to donate, please DM us for drop-off information.

💫 A special shoutout to Rosa at Fresco Deli, whose kind heart makes such a difference in our community. She carefully puts together food orders for our neighbors experiencing homelessness, doing this important work with such care and warmth.
